Sensory Awareness Education & Outreach Inc. is committed to providing individuals with disabilities and their families with practical resources, inclusive learning opportunities, and sensory-informed supports that encourage communication, independence, confidence, and meaningful community participation. Our initiatives include providing communication tools and portable sensory resources to children who need additional support with daily transitions, emotional regulation, and expressing their needs to caregivers, educators, and loved ones.

Our programming is expanding beyond individual resources to create a continuum of support across important stages of development. This continuum begins with childhood sensory support and hands-on STEAM learning, continues through middle-school enrichment, and progresses into our Job Skills Cohort for high school students with intellectual disabilities. The Job Skills Cohort provides opportunities to strengthen communication, teamwork, workplace behavior, self-advocacy, problem-solving, and career readiness while connecting students with real-world community and employment experiences. Our long-term continuum plans extend these opportunities into adulthood through programming focused on life skills, vocational readiness, independence, social engagement, and meaningful community participation.

Community Support & Impact

Community donations, sponsorships, partnerships, and grant support have helped Sensory Awareness Education & Outreach Inc. strengthen the programs and resources offered through Sensory Fun & Playroom. This support has provided educational and adaptive materials, caregiver resources, sensory activities, communication supports, community outreach, and opportunities to make our programs more accessible to individuals with diverse abilities and learning needs.

Continued community investment will help us strengthen this sensory-informed bridge from childhood to adulthood—connecting sensory regulation to learning, learning to STEAM exploration, STEAM and middle-school enrichment to high-school workforce readiness, and workforce readiness to greater independence and adult community participation. Our goal is to help individuals with disabilities develop skills progressively throughout their lives while giving families a more connected pathway of support and creating a more inclusive community in which individuals of all abilities have opportunities to learn, work, contribute, and thrive.
