​Destanie is a proud Fort Wayne native whose love for dance began at just 2 years old, sparking a lifelong passion for movement, performance, and the arts.

Her training includes Dance NY Style, Shee kri Style Academy of Dance, and New American Youth Ballet, better known as Project Ballet. Throughout her early dance career, Destanie performed leading roles in classic productions including Snow White, The Nutcracker, and Sleeping Beauty.

Her dedication and talent earned her a full scholarship to the School of American Ballet’s summer program in New York City for three consecutive years, allowing her to further develop her technique and experience.

Destanie continued her dance education in New York, training year-round on a full scholarship with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She also trained with Dance Theatre of Harlem, further expanding her experience and appreciation for the art of dance.

Her extensive training and commitment have shaped Destanie into a passionate professional dancer, instructor, performer, and advocate for the transformative power of dance. Today, she brings her experience back to the community, helping dancers develop confidence, technique, creativity, and a lasting appreciation for movement.
